Dr. Seth Serxner brings the breadth of his experience in academia, industry and consulting to his understanding of wellbeing. Seth has helped hundreds of companies, and their employees live happier, healthier lives through his ability to translate the science of wellbeing to easy-to-understand language and practices.
He has more than 30 years of experience in health and wellbeing and has published more than 50 articles and chapters.
He spent a decade each in academia and private industry before becoming a consultant. He was vice president of research at StayWell, where he established the industry-leading market research program for developing and marketing consumer health materials and programs. He has held academic positions with the University of Hawaii Medical School, the Cancer Research Center of Hawaii and the University of California, Irvine. And more recently was the Chief Health Officer at an industry leading health services company.
Seth earned his undergraduate degree at the University of California at Santa Cruz in Psychology, a Master of Public Health from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a doctorate from the University of California, Irvine, where he studies health promotion and disease prevention.
He serves on two industry board of directors as well as on the United Healthcare Children’s Foundation that provides medical grants for families in need.
Seth lives with his wife in Half Moon Bay California, and has one daughter. No surprise that he is a runner, skier, hiker, cyclist, and will play any sport that has a ball and a net.
